The War Of Art

Reading The War of Art by Steven Pressfield right now, and the deep dive into resistance is bringing me to my knees.

He writes, "The more important a call or action is to our soul's evolution, the more resistance we will feel toward pursuing it."

My past few years of pining over these dresses could not be summed up more perfectly.

At the moment, the resistance is purely logistics... Domain names and handles and trademarks, oh my! When you're a fairly pragmatic person, these simple steps toward building a brand can stop you (me) in your (my) tracks. 

Would feel like such a relief to start sharing my vision and hearing positive words from my tribe, but I'm way too afraid at the moment.

I'm feeling so protective over the identity portion of the line, but also craving affirmation and advice at the same time.

A clue, perhaps?

Really not much different from the way I feel about my own identity, to be honest. 

Time to boil it down to the bare bones, it seems. I'm going to side-step Style + Pepper and start from scratch to see if it helps me get my bearings.
